The Greenman Ratchet Secateurs are designed to make pruning easier, more comfortable and less demanding, especially when tackling thicker, woody stems. Featuring an innovative ratchet cutting mechanism, these secateurs allow you to cut through branches in several controlled stages, requiring significantly less hand strength than conventional secateurs. Unlike traditional bypass secateurs, the S2106 uses an anvil cutting action, where a razor-sharp high carbon steel blade slices down onto a solid anvil. This design makes them particularly effective for cutting dead wood, hard stems and mature woody growth, producing powerful cuts with minimal effort.

The ratchet mechanism works by allowing the blade to progressively bite through thicker branches over several squeezes.
