Our sustainable kiln dried firewood logs are selected from the finest UK hardwood and have been through a kiln drying process at our own processing centre in the North of England which means that they are perfectly dried and ready to burn on your open fire or wood burning stove. Light, clean and easy to handle, they also emit a delightful aroma when burnt. The performance of your stove is directly related to the quality of the wood you use. Our kiln dried wood has a moisture content between 10 and 20 percent, ensuring it burns hotter for longer and increasing the efficiency of your stove or appliance. The log size can vary from smaller pieces through to larger pieces that enable you to keep your fire going for longer.
The exact number of logs contained in the bag depends on the species of the wood and the width of the logs, but we normally suggest the bag contains approx. 300 logs. In terms of heat output, one kiln dried log is roughly equivalent to three unseasoned wood logs, making them far more economical in the long run.
We deliver them in dumpy bags for ease and convenience.
The dumpy bag is big enough to keep a good number of our customers going for a full season of burning, depending of course on how often you light your stove, the bags measures 75cm x 85cm x 95cm, but of course is bulging out at the sides once filled. Log Length is approx 20 - 25cm.
If you are looking for bigger volumes, try our kiln dried mammoth bag, or for even bigger volume customers why not go for our XXL bags.
